Job Description
As a senior foreman, you will be part of the crew responsible for carrying out landscape construction projects. You will perform and supervise various tasks such as excavation and demolition, site cleanup, paving installation, construction of natural-stone walls and patios, planting, and more.
This is a physical role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors as part of a team.
Responsibilities-
Ensure that the job site remains clean, safe, and well organized.

Perform and supervise various manual tasks, such as:
-
transporting materials
-
mixing concrete
-
shoveling soil and stone
-
placing stones and boulders
-
planting perennials, shrubs, and trees
-

Assist the project manager in overseeing all planned work for the project, including:
-
preparation and demolition
-
installation according to architectural plans
-
finishing and site cleanup
-
-
Ensure that the required quality standards are met for all tasks.

Maintain health and safety standards on all job sites.
-
Operate small tools, small machinery/mini-excavators, and dump trucks as needed and depending on experience.

Install mulch, decorative stone, and other landscaping materials.

Install sod.
-
Perform any other tasks related to landscaping as required and supervise the landscaping team on site.

Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in residential landscape construction and exterior concrete work
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a foreman or supervisory role
- Demonstrated experience managing projects exceeding $250,000
- Experience coordinating multiple trades simultaneously
- Experience managing active and complex construction sites
Technical Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess significant experience in several of the following areas:
- Concrete installation
- Concrete finishing
- Decorative concrete
- Sidewalk and curb construction
- Concrete stairs
- Paver installation
- Retaining walls
- Excavation
- Grading
- Drainage systems
- Granular foundation preparation
- Layout and interpretation of plans and specifications
Safety Requirements
- Valid ASP Construction certification
- Strong understanding of CNESST requirements
- Experience supervising crews in active construction environments
Technology Requirements
- Advanced use of smartphones and tablets
- Daily digital reporting
- Construction management and project tracking applications
- Ability to review and annotate PDF plans electronically
Language Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written French
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, suppliers and crew members
- Functional English

- CCQ experience
- Municipal project experience

- Experience managing multiple crews simultaneously
- Technical training related to construction or landscape construction

Ability to work independently or as part of a team, outdoors, while maintaining good physical endurance, a positive attitude, and strong energy.
