SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Technologist whose main function is to develop and verify radiological techniques within a radiology department. This person may also perform radiological techniques.
This person is responsible for the quality of work performed by technologists and auxiliary personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• College diploma degree with specialization in Radio-Oncology Technology
• Must be a member of the Ordre professionnel des technologues en imagerie médicale et en radio-oncologie du Quebec (anciennement Ordre des technologues en radiologie du Quebec)
Experience:
• Two years of relevant experience;
• Experience in ultrasound (an asset)
Knowledge and Abilities:
• Good Knowledge of Radio Diagnostic theory and practice, current trends, and the MSSS Network and regulations;
• Good professional record in the radio-diagnostic and ultrasound related techniques;
• Leadership;
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written;
• Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational and decision-making skills;
• Knowledge of Cree culture and language, social/health issues and Eenou/Eeyou Pimaaatisiiun healing practices and paradigms is an asset;
• Autonomous, flexible, discrete and empathic;
• Practical, attentive to detail and analytical;
• Good dexterity and integrity of the limbs and senses: Some tasks require physical strength and stamina;
• Able to adapt to schedule and working conditions changes;
• Willing to travel
Language:
• Fluent in English
• Fluency and French and/or Cree is an asset
Other:
• This position includes on-call periods.
