Description
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
A person who performs various radiology examinations and produces medical images using equipment designed for this purpose. These images are produced for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
• Assesses the clinical information in the medical prescription;
• Explains the exam to the patient in order to make sure he or she understands the process;
• Positions the patient and the machine according to the examination’s requirements;
• Chooses the tools essential to achieve the requested medical image.
• Any other administrative and/or clinical tasks requested by the employer
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Must have a college diploma with specialization in Radio-Diagnostic Technology from a school recognized by the ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport;
• Must be a standing member of the Ordre des technologues en imagerie médicale, en radio-oncologie et en électrophysiologie médicale du Québec.
Experience:
• One year of relevant experience;
• Experience in office automation and knowledge of applications specific to medical imaging.
• Experience working with PACS systems is an asset

• Manual dexterity, good vision and hearing, acuity, attention to detail;
• Capability to adapt to a constantly evolving technology;
• Sense of accountability, analytical, and good judgment;
• Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational and decision-making skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Language:
• Fluent in English;
• Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
Other:
• Ability to adapt to variable work schedules, including on-call periods, and to maintain availability for hours that may extend up to full-time until January 2027, based on operational needs.
• Willing to travel.
