SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
A person who assumes responsibility for a range of nursing services based on the bio-psycho-social needs of users or groups of people entrusted to his/her care. He/she assesses the user's state of health, determines and ensures implementation of the therapeutic nursing plan and the nursing care and treatment plan. She initiates and provides nursing and medical care and treatment to maintain or restore health and prevent illness. In particular, she may prescribe laboratory analyses, treatments, products, drugs and dressings in the fields of wound care and public health, in accordance with current regulations.
She plans, provides and evaluates teaching for users, their families and groups of people. It participates in research aimed at health promotion and disease prevention.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
• Ensures the immunization status of the organization's employees is up-to-date and makes recommendations in case of discrepancies;
• Manages and monitors Safe Maternity Program files in collaboration with managers, Public Health, and the CNESST (Quebec's workplace health and safety board);
• Conducts clinical assessments of employees presenting with infectious symptoms and makes recommendations to ensure the protection of clients and employees;
• Manages the COVID-19 and influenza vaccination campaign for Montreal employees;
• Manages and monitors Bio-Exposure files in collaboration with Public Health and employees;
• Collaborates with the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team and Public Health in the event of a workplace outbreak;
• Participates in the development and delivery of training and presentations for employees and managers;
• Maintains various management indicators.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q;
• DEC in Nursing.
Experience:
• Two (2) years of experience as a nurse;
• Relevant experience in health and safety at work is a significant asset;
• Experience within the Quebec health and social services network (MSSS) is an asset.

Knowledge and Abilities:
• Good knowledge of the laws and regulations of the MSSS;
• Good knowledge of the management of health and safety;
• Good knowledge of WHMIS;
• Excellent knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (including la Loi sur la santé et la sécurité du travail (LSST) et la Loi sur les accidents du travail et les maladies professionnelles (LATMP);
• Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership and teamwork;
• Rigor, judgment and autonomy.

Language:
• Fluent in English and French;
• Fluency in Cree is an asset.
