Join us and help us make a difference.Title: Manager Financial Planning, Analysis and ReportingLocation: Richmond Hill, ON (Hybrid)OverviewThe Manager, Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting will have an active role in monthly financial reporting and analysis, annual budget preparation, annual audit and ad hoc reporting. The experienced FP&A professional will apply financial acumen to provide useful information and insights to senior management.** This position will be based on a hybrid work model which provides the ability to work from home and in the office.RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare monthly and quarterly branch, line-of-business and company financial statements (executive financial package)Lead and work with the various stakeholders (CFO, Sales, Marketing and Operations) on the annual budgeting processAnalyze actual results in comparison with budget and investigate variances to better understand performanceDevelop financial systems, processes and models leveraging your technical skills using Microsoft ExcelCreate efficiencies through improvement of existing processes or implementation of new processes to reduce cycle times through the use of automation and BI toolsCollaborate with other operational teams outside of Finance to achieve corporate objectives and realize strategic plans Complete Statistics Canada financial related questionnairesOwnership of chart of accounts and business unit maintenance and setup in ERPPrepare, assist and review recurring monthly journal entries Assist with the external auditPrepare quarterly benchmark reportingPrepare borrowing base certificate, financial reporting and covenant calculations for our lenderAd-hoc reports and special projects that may require competence performing analysis on large datasetsBackup support for the General Accounting ManagerOther duties as required POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Recent experience in a similar role, preference given to 5+ years of experience Completed professional accounting designation CPA University degree specializing in Finance and Accounting (MBA would be an asset)Creative, detail-oriented and proven organization abilities Strong analytical and critical thinking SkillsProfessional, effective communication skills both written and verbalAdvanced Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA, etc.) Proven experience completing projects both with timeliness and accuracyTakes initiative with ability to manage multiple competing projectsAbility to work independently but also as part of a teamSelf-driven, motivated and high level of attention to detail SKILLS CONSIDERED AN ASSET: Extensive knowledge of IT industry; vendors, distributors, etc.Experience with ERP systems and related data - JDE Edwards would be preferred Equity StatementConsistent with our commitments to equity and diversity, we actively recruit from all designated groups.
