THE POSITION

The position of student life animator encompasses, in particular, responsibility for carrying out organization and facilitation activities and for providing guidance to students in the development, delivery and evaluation of programs of activities related to an institution’s educational project and success plan focussing on the integral development of the student and the creation of a welcoming and dynamic environment.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess activity needs in consultation with students, school staff and partners, and identify necessary resources.
  • Plan, organize and lead a variety of socio-cultural, sports and educational activities, encouraging student participation.
  • Participate in the recruitment and coordination of staff and volunteers, manage activity budgets, evaluate results and produce reports.
  • Ensure the availability and maintenance of equipment, negotiate agreements for the use of space or services, and collaborate with school staff to organize extracurricular activities.
  • Develop and maintain links with external partners to enrich educational activities and represent the school at events.

Requested skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialty that consists mainly of courses in the following areas: physical education; recreology; andragogy; genagogy; group facilitation.
  • Excellent knowledge of oral and written English.
  • Good knowledge of oral and written French.
