HE POSITION

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in driving a road vehicle of a net weight of more than three thousand (3 000) kilos or a minibus for the purpose of transporting people as well as goods and materials and performing any other task, such as loading and unloading goods, while adhering to the applicable safety standards. 

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive one of the assigned vehicles, such as dump trucks, trucks with or without covered platforms, buses, minibuses, and similar vehicles, ensuring the cleanliness and operational condition of the vehicle.
  • Perform vehicle cleaning, washing, and refueling, and conduct or coordinate regular inspections as required by law, regulations, and directives.
  • Report any detected defects and maintain a route schedule, preparing concise reports as needed to document job-related activities.
  • Ensure that vehicle logbooks and inspection reports are kept up to date.
  • Occasionally operate lighter vehicles as required.
  • Perform any other related tasks as necessary.
