POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Dufferin, a warm and welcoming private seniors' residence, has an opening for a Housekeeping Attendant! Working in a residence is more than just a job; it's a life experience. It's the opportunity to be recognized and valued, to participate in the continuous improvement of the service, and to make a significant difference in the daily lives of seniors! Full-time position, day and evening shifts, one weekend out of two.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble plates of food
- Clean kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
- Create tasty menus while respecting the expected level of quality and the allocated budget
- Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food
- Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff in the kitchen
- Plan and cook meals in accordance with the appropriate methods and standards
- Use products and equipment according to the safety, quality, hygiene and cleanliness rules and standards in effect
- When appropriate, collaborate with the chef in the creation of the menus by proposing ideas
- Good team player
- Training certification (MAPAQ)
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
- At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in a large restoration
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication
