POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Located on Gouin Blvd. facing the Rivière Des Prairies, the Complexe Gouin-Langelier welcomes independent or dependent clients. There's a warm and friendly atmosphere where we feel right at home.
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Attendant to fill a permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, daytime hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and every other weekend, according to the following schedule: week 1 from Monday to Friday, week 2 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The person will be required to work some night shifts in case of emergency (on call).
The person must have their own tools and have extensive experience in renovations and janitorial services.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain property areas and systems
- All other related tasks
- Assist residents with any deficiencies related to services provided by the residence
- Be available to respond to emergencies
- Maintenance and monitoring of equipment (mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, pumps, furnaces, valves, etc.)
- Make service calls
- Minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, paint, change lights, various installations, etc.)
- Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
- Perform safety tours and ensure that exterior doors are locked
- Preventive maintenance on equipment
- Good communication
- 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and minor repairs
