POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Located in Longueuil, the Jazz Longueuil residence, managed by Cogir, offers a friendly and stimulating work environment. We have a dedicated and caring team for independent seniors and those experiencing mild loss of autonomy. We are currently seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and passionate Recreation Technician. This is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with evenings and weekends as needed.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the leisure manager in their duties
- Carry out all related tasks requested by the recreation manager
- Collaborate with the different departments of the residence to make things easier for everyone
- Disseminate the activities calendar to residents
- Animate and oversee supervision during the activities
- Decorating the premises for special events
- Promote activities related to the residents
- Welcome the residents and invite them to participate in the activities
- Training related to the leisure sector (an asset)
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (an asset)
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar position
