POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Cogir is looking for a Real Estate & Corporate Paralegal Corporate with 5 to 7 years of experience who is looking for a stimulating and challenging environment to be part of the Legal Affairs Department team. The person in this position will work in collaboration with the existing team of paralegals and lawyers.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carry out incorporations, organizations and amendments for companies and limited partnerships
  • Draft corporate documents related to limited partnerships
  • Draft corporate documents relating to various day-to-day company operations and corporate bookkeeping
  • Participate in the drafting of basic contracts and corporate resolutions required in the context of financing, transactions and corporate reorganizations.
  • Prepare and submit forms and other documents necessary to maintain required permits, licenses and certifications with the appropriate authorities
  • Provide support to internal lawyers and to the various divisions of the organization to meet corporate needs
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Hold a college diploma, preferably with a specialization in legal technology or any combination of studies and relevant experience
  • Have 5 to 7 years of work experience in a company or with a law firm
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written, in French and English (other language(s) an asset)
  • Master the Microsoft Office suite
