POSITION DESCRIPTION:


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answer ringtones
  • Assist and accompany residents in their travels
  • Collaborate in maintaining the bond of trust with the families or loved ones of the residents as well as with the various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
  • Ensure the accompaniment of residents to activities, the dining room and appointments at the home
  • Notify the nurse and/or the person in charge of health services of any changes observed in the state of health of the residents
  • Respond to all emergency situations
Health Care
  • Assist the nursing staff in tasks that require no hands-on care of the resident
  • In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
  • Flexibility for the work schedule
  • Good communication
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
  • PDSB training
  • High availability, evenings and weekends
  • law 90 for medication
