Description
Jazz Lévis, a friendly private seniors' residence, is seeking a person to fill a part-time evening position as a Personal Support Worker with Competency 6 (Law 90). ***Candidates must hold a Personal Support Worker/Personal Care Attendant (PSW) or DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Personal Assistance in Institutions and at Home, or a Recognition of Acquired Competencies (RAC) certificate, or have accumulated 5,000 hours of PAB (Personal Support Worker) training within the last 5 years, plus current 16-hour CPR certification and completed PDSP (Personal Support and Care Program).***
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Schedule: 7/14 evening shifts with 1 weekend out of 2 (4 p.m. to midnight)
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- Contribute to the development of a residentsè action plan based on their observations
- Distribute medication in pill organizers and provide some invasive care (as needed and provided you have the necessary training)
- Respond to all emergency situations
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
- Up-to-date CPR/AED general first aid training
- AP/RPA or DEP training in personal assistance in establishments and at home
- PDSP training
- Competency 6 (Law 90)
