Le Havre Lafontaine, a friendly private seniors' residence located in Rivière-du-Loup, is seeking a person to fill a full-time evening/night personal support worker position. ***Candidates must hold an AP/RPA or DEP diploma in Personal Assistance in Institutions and at Home, or a RAC certification, or have accumulated 5,000 hours of PAB (Personal Support Worker) experience within the last 5 years.** We offer group insurance, telemedicine, an employee assistance program, and more!
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Schedule: Full-time evening/night position, schedule to be discussed.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
- Answering call bells
- Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
- Proactively assist and support the residents
- Respond to all emergency situations
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
