POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Located in the heart of the new Solar district in Brossard, Jazz Brossard is delighted to welcome a wonderful clientele, both independent and those experiencing a loss of autonomy. A warm and welcoming atmosphere prevails, where we feel right at home.

We are currently seeking an empathetic and caring Resident Care Attendant.

The Resident Care Attendant ensures the comfort, well-being, safety, and general needs of residents by providing hygiene and comfort care.

This is a permanent part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, including day and evening shifts, and one weekend out of two.

COVID bonus applicable.

The candidate must hold Competency 6 and a diploma recognized by government authorities.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
  • Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
  • Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
  • In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
  • Proactively assist and support the residents
  • Respond to all emergency situations
  • While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
  • PDSB training
  • Good team player
  • Good sense of interpersonal communication
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
  • PAB training recognized by the Ministry of Education
  • Skill 6
