The St-Patrick, a friendly private seniors' residence located near Cartier Street, is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker. Responsibilities include apartment renovations and resident requisitions, as well as other related tasks such as flooring installation, painting, and plastering. POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, daytime hours
Salary: Starting at $24.25/hour


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze the work to be done, determine the necessary equipment to order, and notify your manager of the needs.
  • Clear corridors and access doors of any items that could be cumbersome and/or compromise resident safety
  • Ensure that the apartments are clean and in excellent condition before the next rentals
  • Organize your tasks to meet deadlines
  • Perform all other tasks related to his/her duties
  • Perform various minor renovations and repairs in residents' apartments and common areas of the residence (painting, plumbing, carpentry)
  • Respect health and safety rules at work
  • Responding to emergencies and service calls
  • To ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of the premises
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good communication
  • Occupational health and safety training (an asset)
  • Experience in minor manual labor (painting, electrical work, carpentry and plumbing)
