POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Located in the heart of the new Solar district in Brossard, Jazz Brossard is delighted to welcome a select clientele, whether independent or experiencing a loss of autonomy. It offers a warm and friendly atmosphere where we feel at home.

Permanent, full-time daytime position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and weekends in case of emergency.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the building and its equipment
  • Manage, supervise and coach the maintenance team
Construction
  • All other related tasks
  • Assist residents with any deficiencies related to services provided by the residence
  • Be available to respond to emergencies
  • Communicate the maintenance needs for materials and products and upkeep of the building to the immediate superior
  • Make service calls
  • Minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, paint, change lights, various installations, etc.)
  • Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • A working knowledge of building maintenance (Hvac, electrical, plumbing etc.)
  • Experience in personnel management
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
  • Professional training in general building maintenance (an asset)
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and minor repairs
