POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Les Richeloises residence offers a friendly work environment, a warm atmosphere, and a high quality of life! Working in a residence is more than just a professional experience; it's a life experience and a rewarding responsibility with exceptional clients!

We are currently seeking talented and caring Licensed Practical Nurses.

Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, evenings from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and one weekend out of two.

Evening shift premium applies.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
  • Collaborate in the follow-up of the medical dossiers, occasionaly arrange appointments and prescriptions for the residents
  • Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
  • Create and maintain metuculous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
  • Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties
  • Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
  • Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents
  • Provide a range of nursing care and treatments in order to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
  • Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
  • Respond to all emergency situations
  • Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
  • Ease in the use of computer tools
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • Know Symo software (an advantage)
  • At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in nursing
  • Member of the OIIAQ
