POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Le Boréal private retirement residence offers the perfect balance between urban living and nature.
We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the residence. This is a full-time, evening position (4:00 p.m. to midnight), Sunday through Thursday.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- Create and maintain metuculous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
- Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents
- Respond to all emergency situations
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
- Member of the OIIAQ
- Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
- PDSB training
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
