The private seniors' residence Le St-Augustin is seeking a part-time daytime position as a beneficiary attendant (Law 90). ***Candidates must have an AP/RPA or DEP (vocational diploma) in Personal Assistance in Institutions and at Home, or a RAC certificate, or 5,000 hours of experience in the last 5 years as a PAB**
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Schedule: 16 hours/week, 7:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m., with every other weekend off.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
- Answering call bells
- Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
- Proactively assist and support the residents
- Respond to all emergency situations
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
