POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a kitchen helper who is committed to the health of our residents to join our dynamic team! Here, we offer delicious, complete meals at affordable prices, free parking, a social club, ongoing training, not to mention free coffee and smiles! Your contribution will help us provide a safe environment and a high quality of life for our residents. Come make a difference in the lives of our seniors and join us! Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, Sunday to Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and one weekend out of two.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble plates of food
- Be required to participate in the serving of meals and/or light housework when required
- Clean kitchen equipment
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Peel and cut vegetables for meals
- Perform other related duties
- Good team player
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
- Experience in a large restoration's volume (an asset)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position
