POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Manager of Financial Analysis and Training, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for closely monitoring the business performance of the Multi-Residential division for various Canadian portfolios. Among their main responsibilities, the Financial Analyst will actively participate in our business partner initiatives, such as developing comparative analyses to improve revenue and cost management.
The incumbent must be proactive, driven by the desire to provide value-added analyses to internal and external clients. They must be organized, with proven multitasking, problem-solving, and prioritizing skills based on workloads. They will be required to analyze multiple files simultaneously, consistently delivering the same high-quality interpretation and output, while meeting tight deadlines.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively participate in the annual budget process and financial projections
- Collect the financial information needed to analyze business performance
- Consolidation of financial reports on an annual basis
- Identify and propose areas for process improvement based on identified optimization opportunities
- Manage the treasury operations of identified portfolios and partners
- Planning and execution of external audits
- Preparation of monthly presentations of financial results to internal and external clients
- Preparation of monthly reports (statistics, cash flow, inter-company reports and others)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (CPA/CFA an asset)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles
- Any other combination of study and experience deemed relevant will be considered.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of Hopem and/or Yardi software (an asset)
- Knowledge of Power BI (an asset)
- Bilingualism both spoken and written (French/English)
