POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Dining Room Shift Manager with a positive attitude to bring the team together to provide 5-star service to our residents.
The Dining Room Manager plans and directs activities related to dining room service. They ensure the smooth running of meal service, manage the staff involved, and ensure outstanding customer service.
Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, days/evenings, Sunday to Thursday, with variable hours as needed.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be attentive to customer needs during the meal
- Carry out the setup before opening
- Collaborate in the safety of residents and staff by ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in the dining room
- Collaborate with kitchen employees to ensure good teamwork
- Contribute and ensure the maintenance of the cleanliness of the dining room by taking on some household chores, in collaboration with the whole team
- Greet residents in the dining room and ensure their comfort
- Manage the team of servers in the dining room
- Participate in closing the dining room
- Participate in table service with your team of waiters
- Present the daily menus, the à la carte menu and answer residents' questions about food and cooking, in collaboration with colleagues in the kitchen
- Experience in personnel management
- knowledge of a Maitre D's responsibilities (an asset)
- At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in restoration
- Knowledge of senior residences, a major asset.
