POSITION DESCRIPTION:

In addition to the usual server duties, the dining room manager ensures the proper functioning of the meal service, manages staff, establishes work schedules and oversees reception and hospitality. integration of new employees into his team. He/she also welcomes and takes care of the integration of new residents, manages places in the dining room and oversees reservations. He/she is responsible for managing his/her inventory and participates like the rest of the team in the maintenance and maintenance of cleanliness in the dining room. Permanent full-time position.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contribute to maintaining or restoring the health of residents by offering adapted and balanced menus
  • Manage the reservations of residents' guests and ensure their comfort
  • Participate in table service with your team of waiters
  • Perform other related duties
  • Present the daily menus, the à la carte menu and answer residents' questions about food and cooking, in collaboration with colleagues in the kitchen
  • Take inventory of service equipment and make purchases if necessary while respecting budgets
  • Welcome customers and ensure the integration of new residents by offering them an adequate table
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (an asset)
  • Experience in personnel management
  • knowledge of a Maitre D's responsibilities (an asset)
