POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Les Jardins Du Couvent, a welcoming private seniors' residence, is looking for a cook to fill a permanent, full-time position. Come create with our Chef and play with flavors, textures, and presentations!

We are currently looking for a cook (Senior profile) with extensive experience, passion, professionalism, and, above all, reliability.
Permanent, full-time daytime position for 37.5 hours per week, every other weekend.
$500 signing bonus ($250 after 3 months and $250 after 6 months)
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Suggest ideas for creating tasty menus while respecting the expected level of quality
- Assemble plates of food
- Clean kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
- Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food
- Plan and cook meals in accordance with the appropriate methods and standards
- Use products and equipment according to the safety, quality, hygiene and cleanliness rules and standards in effect
- When appropriate, collaborate with the chef in the creation of the menus by proposing ideas
- Training certification (MAPAQ)
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
- Good team player
- Good communication
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset.
