POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the COO (Chief Operating Officer) of the Multi-Residential division in Canada (managing a real estate portfolio of 23,000 apartments across Canada), the Business Analyst will be responsible for closely monitoring the division's business performance for various Canadian portfolios. Among their main responsibilities, the Business Analyst will actively participate in our business partner initiatives, such as developing benchmarking analyses to improve operational performance, revenue, and cost management. They will also prepare management reports and coordinate the entire business review process with clients. This individual will be responsible for maintaining a monthly dashboard containing several key performance indicators.
The incumbent must be proactive and driven by the desire to provide value-added analyses to internal and external clients. He or she must be organized, demonstrate a strong aptitude for managing multiple tasks, problem solving and prioritizing according to workloads. The person will have to analyze several files simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of quality in the interpretation and presentation of results, while respecting tight deadlines.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect and analyze financial and operational data necessary to evaluate the performance of the division and buildings.
- Prepare and present monthly management reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a dashboard with the division's key performance indicators.
- Analyze marketing data and perform performance analyses on active campaigns in buildings.
- Analyze and monitor the various annual rent renewal initiatives and programs.
- Create, analyze and update financial models, for existing or under construction projects, case studies and reports to project short and long term performance, thus supporting strategic planning efforts.
- Participate with the operations and finance team in the annual budget process and financial projections (quarterly forecasts, pro-forma, etc.).
- Coordinate special projects to optimize the division's performance.

- Any equivalent combination of training and experience deemed relevant
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Office suite
- Knowledge of Hopem and/or Yardi software (an asset)
