Chinook’s Edge School Division invites applications for the position of Online Summer School Principal. In consultation with the Associate Superintendent of Learning Services, the Online Summer School Principal will provide dynamic leadership and effective management for the Grade 10-12 online summer school program, which includes both credit recovery and enrichment opportunities throughout the month of July. The Principal will be responsible for fostering a focused and supportive learning environment that maximizes student success. Key responsibilities include Instructional Leadership and Program Oversight, Staff Supervision, Student Success, Operational Efficiency, Communication and Stakeholder Relations, and Strategic Planning and Reporting.



Through the use of an online learning management system, the Online Summer School Principal will support teachers in the instruction and facilitation of various high school courses. The learning management system and courses offered will be determined following the selection of a successful candidate. The role begins on Tuesday, June 30, with courses scheduled Monday to Friday throughout July. This is primarily a remote position, only requiring up to four mandatory on-site days.

Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m., Thursday, March 19th, 2026. Candidates must be current Principals or Vice-Principals with at least two years of high school leadership experience. A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate is required, and the successful applicant must provide a clear Criminal Record Check.
