Desired Qualifications:

  • Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience
  • Ability to work with students in one-on-one and classroom setting
  • Experience or ability to work with young children
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment
  • A positive and flexible attitude to change
  • Interview will be required
  • Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to improve the educational achievement of First Nations students with high learning needs
  • Experience working with First Nations communities and experience supporting First Nation, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) students

Duties (may include but are not limited to):

  • Assisting with a student's educational program
  • Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced student-centered environment
  • Willingness to meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required
  • Other duties as assigned
