Description
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, and home tothe Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute (CFMHRI), one of the world's leading research institute’s in the area ofaddiction and mental health.
CFMHRI houses multiple Research Centres, each with a specific focus; large philanthropic gifts, aimed to accelerate research anddiscovery; and over 900 scientists, staff and trainees all conducting leading research to: improve the understanding of the brain;discover the causes, biomarkers and cures for mental illness and advance the prevention and treatment for mental illness andaddictions across the lifespan.
Reporting to the Manager, Research Finance, the Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of financial accountabilities and financial services delivery as part of the Research Finance Team as well as specific responsibilities related to CFMHRI’s Research Centers; large philanthropic gifts; CFMHRI’s research operational funds. The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial reporting to internal committees and philanthropic donors, as well as longer term sustainability planning, financial analysis and financial support to key stakeholders as required.
The Senior Business Analyst will also build effective, collaborative relationships outside of their immediate team and work strategically with the Research and Finance leadership, Scientists, Research Centre Directors and Managers, and members of the CAMH Foundation to provide assistance in financial reporting & analysis, budgeting/forecasting, Balance Sheet reconciliations, Month-end and Year-end financial close support, identification of risks and opportunities, and provide strategic and value-add business advice to address financial challenges/opportunities. This role may also be required to assist/review research business proposaldevelopment, donor funding proposals, and other financial requirements.
