Research Manager - Schizophrenia Division Research

CAMH is Canada’s largest academic health sciences centre dedicated to mental health and addiction.  Research in Schizophrenia and related disorders has been a historic strength that continues into the present, particularly given that CAMH has always served a large number of inpatients and outpatients suffering from these disorders. Research in the Schizophrenia Division is focused on diverse interests, including clinical treatment trials, metabolic health, digital interventions, brain imaging, genetics and health services research. 

Reporting to the Director, Clinical Research and the Chief, Schizophrenia Division, the Schizophrenia Division is currently seeking a full-time, temporary Research Manager to support on-going research activities, with a focus on a large multimodal cohort project investigating trajectories of outcomes and recovery among individuals with Schizophrenia and related disorders.  The manager will oversee all research study operations, including:

  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of the study, participant recruitment and enrollment
  • Collaborating with study investigators and stakeholders
  • Managing human resources including recruitment, hiring, training, and daily supervision of staff
  • Providing fiscal management, monitor key performance indicators and supporting the reporting obligations associated with the research project
  • Ensuring adherence to REB and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting in grant writing and submission
  • Supporting division-wide initiatives, including centralized participant recruitment, community engagement, knowledge translation activities

The successful candidate will work with the Research Operations, Services and Support Office to ensure alignment of research operations, meet and maintain institutional, regulatory standards and department requirements.

As a key member of the team, the successful incumbent will be expected to work collaboratively on projects with cross functional teams. The incumbent will champion and lead initiatives that support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable policies, procedures and legislation.  This position is located at 1051 Queen Street West, with travel between sites, as necessary.
