The Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention is seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst. The incumbent will report to the Manager and join a productive team in one of the world’s leading centres in treatment, research and training related to brain stimulation therapies. In addition to clinical treatment trials, the team also specializes in neurophysiology studies aimed at providing novel insights into brain function in individuals with psychiatric disorders.

In this position, you will provide support to the Manager, investigators, and research team with a number of ongoing research projects. You will work collaboratively with the research team in the maintenance of data collection tools including electronic data capture (EDC) systems and other databases. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., Computer Science, Bioinformatics or related discipline) combined with at least 1 year of experience working in a research environment. Strong proficiency with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) is required. Experience with statistical packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS, and MATLAB) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire) is an asset. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential. Knowledge of PC software skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Internet search engines is required. Candidates will also have demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large databases and will have literature review and synthesis skills. Candidates require the ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
