The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated part-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst (RA) to join an innovative program of research focused on improving mental health care for transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) populations.
The research program focuses on improving mental health care for transgender and gender-diverse populations through behavioural clinical trials, health services research, implementation science, qualitative and mixed-methods research, and community-engaged scholarship. The program is grounded in close collaboration with clinicians, trainees, and community partners, with the goal of generating research that informs equitable, evidence-based mental health care, health policy, and clinical practice.

Reporting to the Clinician Scientist and the Research Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, trainees, and scientists within the CAMH Gender Identity Clinic and IMHPR.  The RA will support a research study evaluating a gender-affirming Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills group for TGD adults receiving care through the CAMH Gender Identity Clinic. The RA will also contribute to knowledge translation initiatives and the ongoing development of an expanding program of research in transgender and gender-diverse mental health. The position follows a hybrid work model, with in-person activities such as team meetings, participant interviews and diagnostic assessments; and virtual research visits and meetings.
