The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is the largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital in Canada, as well as one of the world's leading research institutes in its field. Our services are delivered to help transform the lives of people affected by mental illness and addictions. Our goal is to tailor treatment to each individual, providing patient-centered, comprehensive, coordinated care.

Reporting directly to the Research Operations Manager, Clinical Research, and the Scientific Head, Biostatistics Core Services, CAMH is seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst to provide support for a variety of clinical research activities across the divisions of the institution. This position will involve a strong knowledge of statistical methodology, including study design, data collection and management, applied regression modeling, and statistical software packages. The position will require an experienced health-related research background and the ideal candidate will be capable of conducting daily tasks with minimal supervision. Primarily, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting data analyses within a research and clinical setting under the guidance of a senior biostatistician. Primary responsibilities include assisting with study design and power calculations, analyzing data, supporting the preparation of draft statistical reports and manuscripts, creating and maintaining databases, and assisting with statistical consultation for clinical research studies. The candidate will assist with developing and delivering educational workshops in biostatistics for CAMH staff and investigators. The candidate may also assist with statistical methods research led by senior biostatisticians and other administrative duties as necessary. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, Epidemiology, or other related quantitative disciplines combined with one (1) year of relevant research experience.
