As part of the Complex Care and Recovery (CCR) Program, the Geriatric Mental Health Outpatient Clinics provide care and treatment to clients 50 years and older. Clients and their families served are offered specialized services and customized care in an outpatient continuum of care.
The Geriatric Mental Health Outpatient Clinics are seeking applications for a full-time, contract (1 year) Psychometrist for clinical duties primarily (but not exclusively) in the Memory Clinic. Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for clinical psychological assessment duties under the supervision of a Psychologist. Your duties include conducting psychological testing, administering and interpreting psychological measures, preparing psychological assessment reports, and providing feedback to staff, clients and families. In addition, you may be required to conduct interviews with families and support team members in the collection of collateral information relevant to assessments. Duties also include assisting with data management related the Memory Clinic integrated care pathway. Knowledge and experience providing culturally competent clinical assessment is considered an asset, as well as working with clients with cognitive disorders. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory requirements. This position is located at 1001 Queen Street West.
The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Psychology or Education, with two (2) years of related experience preferably with a strong background in geriatric clinical assessment, including standardized psychological tests such as the BNA-R, MoCA, MMSE and RBANS. Computer skills, including word processing and interpretation of computer-generated test reports, are essential. Your strengths include excellent writing skills and the ability to work within specific deadlines. You will also possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively and collegially as a team member in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment. Bilingualism (French/English) or fluency in a second language is an asset.
