As Canada’s largest mental health care provider, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health provides evidence to drive system and policy change through the implementation of innovations and novel service delivery interventions. The Research Operations, Services and Support (ROSS) Office is a central group within CAMH Research that provides administrative support to ensure that all research activities carried out at CAMH or by CAMH personnel comply with funder, governmental or institutional policies and regulations.

We are seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Program Officer that will play a crucial role in supporting women’s health research and initiatives within ROSS. Reporting to the Manager Philanthropic Gifts in Research in close collaboration with the Lab Manager for the Galea Lab of Behavioural Neuroendocrinology, this role will coordinate and lead initiatives pertaining to the operations of womenmindTM and the Women’s Health Research Cluster and support administrative functions for the Treliving Chair in Women’s Mental Health (the “Chair”).

The role provides core support to Managers and Leadership Team members that report to the Chair, liaising with other CAMH departments to ensure consistency with CAMH administrative processes and requirements, and supporting the operational efficiency of the programs. The Program Officer will support committees chaired by leadership in scheduling meetings, taking and distributing minutes and agendas. Communication and event support will be key activities in this role, as will building and maintaining relationships across the hospital, in the research environment, and with stakeholders.

Work is conducted during the typical workday hours, however, occasional attendance at and coordination of evening events may be required. This position is located at 250 College St. and 1025 Queen St.
