Manager - Downtown West Clinic-camh

Clinical Care is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Manager for the Downtown West Outpatient Clinic, which includes the following teams FACT (Flexible Assertive Community ACT team) ALC ( Transitional Alternative Level of Care), Shared Care, CTO (Community Treatment Orders) coordinators Reporting to the Program Director, the Manager will be responsible for: providing leadership and coordinating the interdisciplinary team; scheduling of staff; managing human resources, including recruitment and performance management; and providing oversight in team planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. You will be required to support budget planning and monitoring, strategic planning, and execution/implementation of initiatives that further the strategic plan. The manager will also participate in planning, change management, and project work required to support the program’s goals and objectives. You will ensure the outpatient services are in alignment with common organizational objectives, and vision/mission goals and values. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the identification and development of educational requirements for staff, and for providing supervision to members of the clinical team, in collaboration with the Professional Practice Leaders and Advance Practice staff. This position is located at the Queen Street Site with occasional travel to other CAMH sites.

A Master’s Degree in Nursing, Social Work, or a related field is preferred, and 5 years of progressive supervisory experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized knowledge of persistent mental illness, experience with this population and an understanding of the FACT model of care would be an asset. You will also possess strong negotiation skills, combined with an awareness of professional roles and functions of diverse disciplines within integrated clinical teams, and can effectively liaise with external programs and agencies. You demonstrate commitment to safety of both staff and clients. You possess a track record of: managing an interdisciplinary team; client-centered care; treatment of those with persistent mental illness; and development of community linkages/partnerships. Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and communities is essential. You have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). In addition, you possess excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
