Communications and Partnerships at CAMH is seeking a full-time, temporary (12 months), Executive Assistant. Reporting to the SVP, Public Affairs, Partnerships and Chief Strategy Officer, and supporting the communications, strategy and partnerships portfolio, the Executive Assistant will provide senior confidential executive-level administrative support to SVP, Public Affairs, Partnerships and Chief Strategy Officer and Directors in the portfolio. The position requires a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. An integral part of this job is liaising effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and being comfortable working with people and systems within and outside of CAMH such as health care or educational institutions, government departments and others.
The successful candidate will represent the office of the SVP, Public Affairs, Partnerships and Chief Strategy Officer to staff, clients, visitors, government and the public, and be responsible for: composing correspondences, briefing notes, reports, policies and presentations; compiling submissions; support for special projects as required; and maintaining schedules. The successful candidate will operate as part of the larger team of Senior Management Administrative Assistants working closely to ensure co-ordination of support for special projects and to various committees of the Board of Trustees and the Senior Management Group. The successful candidate will be creative, able to multi-task and support a workplace that embraces diversity and encourages teamwork. This position is located at 100 Stokes Street.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelors Degree or Community College diploma/certificate in a related field, plus 5 years of senior administrative support or relevant experience is required, including advanced knowledge of office administration practices, academic sector, health care/mental health system, corporate protocol and public relations. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment; must be proficient at written communication and oral presentation; minute-taking skills are necessary. Advanced expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Sign), and other software packages is required, and excellent organizational, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
