About this opportunity:
The Senior Shared Services Advisor, IT Training & Experience plays a key role in enabling effective adoption of Cenovus IT services. This role designs and delivers high‑quality, user‑focused training that improves capability, reduces operational friction, and enhances the overall end‑user experience. With an enterprise‑wide scope, this role partners closely with IT and business teams to translate technical concepts into practical, accessible learning solutions that support consistent use of technology across the organization.
What you’ll do:
Identify end‑user IT training needs in partnership with IT and business stakeholders
Design, develop, and deliver training in multiple formats (documentation, virtual, self‑serve content)
Translate technical information into clear, user‑friendly learning materials
Support IT‑related change initiatives to drive adoption and improve user experience
Build and maintain strong relationships with IT teams (EUC, Infrastructure, Applications, Cyber Security) and business partners
Continuously improve content based on feedback and adoption outcomes
Create enablement materials such as job aids, guides, and digital content
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Bachelor’s’ degree in Computer Science, Business, Communications, or Education.
8+ years’ overall experience in progressively senior roles specializing in IT, business or adult training and development
2+ years’ experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training delivery across multiple formats
Strong understanding of end‑user IT environments, including EUC, enterprise applications, collaboration tools, and IT service delivery models
Demonstrated experience supporting large, multi‑location organizations and enterprise‑wide technology changes
Certifications in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Change Management, or ITIL are assets
