About this opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager of Production Control, the Senior IT Service Management Advisor will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and driving the optimal implementation of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Asset Management Process onto the Service Management Tool.

As a CMDB Process Owner, responsibilities include ensuring the suitability of the Configuration Management process, defining critical success factors, monitoring execution, and coordinating design work for Configuration Item (CI) discovery and as an IT Asset Management (ITAM) Process Owner, will oversee adherence to the ITAM process, resource allocation, metrics reporting, and maintaining up-to-date and accurate asset records. Both roles play pivotal roles in maintaining accurate data and effective IT service management

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for executing the Configuration Management process, working with other relevant processes as needed.

  • Review process effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Manage the process improvement cycle.

  • Define the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the process.

  • Arbitrate in disputes over resource allocation and responsibilities.

  • Sponsor communication campaigns to promote awareness and acceptance of the Configuration Management process.

  • Provides process description, mission statement, roadmap, strategy, objectives, and metrics, monitoring and reviewing process execution at a high level.

  • Coordinate design work for CI discovery and data import methods.

  • Monitor and manage the Performance Analytics Dashboards and the reporting functionality in ServiceNow.

  • Own and drive the Monthly ITSM Health Check data collection and presentation, assisting the wider team in planning and execution of the monthly meeting.

  • Ensure Configuration Management process adherence.

  • Monitors process, initiate corrective action, and provide metrics to demonstrate process effectiveness.

  • Ensure CMDB and Configuration Items are up-to-date and accurate.

  • Manage sub-processes within Asset Lifecycle and Configuration Management areas, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.

Who you are:

  • University Degree: ideally Computer Science Graduate

  • A minimum 10 years of experience in the Service Management Domain specifically in the following processes: Release & Deployment, Service Validation & Testing, Demand management, and Service Transition.

  • Information Technology Library (ITIL) Foundations is required.

  • ServiceNow Data Certification, ITAM Fundamentals, ServiceNow CMDB Fundamentals, Certified Asset Management Professional would be beneficial.
