About this opportunity:
Reporting to Manager, SAP Applications, Enterprise D&IT, this Sr. ERP Basis Advisor role is responsible for the technical foundation of SAP systems, ensuring smooth operation, performance and security. Sr. ERP Basis Advisor will work closely with various teams including SAP ECS (RISE), application support teams, project managers, business users, and other technical teams to ensure seamless integration and support for daily operations, projects and other initiatives. The Sr. ERP Basis Advisor must be able to lead and support the SAP system through numerous initiatives ranging from major SAP S/4HANA implementation, system maintenance and upgrades, troubleshooting, monitoring and supporting the business in introducing new functionalities in the SAP landscape.
This position will be based in corporate office in downtown Calgary, AB.
What you’ll do:
Manage the technical operations of the SAP ecosystem, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and OS-level support (Linux, Windows)
Support SAP landscapes (N and N+1) for both sustainment and project environments
Oversee SAP RISE (ECS) support and ensure integration with internal teams
Maintain SAP Change and Release Management (ChaRM, Focused Build), including transport configuration
Manage Tricentis test suite: Tosca, LiveCompare, and NeoLoad
Design, build, and operate SAP NetWeaver (ABAP/JAVA), S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and other solutions across on-premises and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Execute system backups, recoveries, refreshes, upgrades (kernel, add-ons, support packages), and migrations
Perform database administration for HANA, MS SQL Server, and Oracle
Manage batch scheduling using Redwood
Lead Disaster Recovery planning, implementation, testing, and documentation
Ensure SOX audit compliance and handle remediation activities
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
University or college degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent education and experience combinations considered
At least 10 years in SAP Basis Platform with SAP Basis certification
Skilled in Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems
Proficient in SQL Server, Oracle, and SAP HANA database administration, configuration, and installation
Strong ability to create and maintain technical documentation
Knowledgeable in change and release management processes, including ChaRM and Focused Build
Familiar with test tools and governance practices
Certified or trained in SAP AS ABAP and AS JAVA administration
Hands-on with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SLT, Web Dispatcher, SAP BW, PI, PO, BOBJ, Data Services, Solution Manager, SAP BTP, and Enterprise Portal
