About this opportunity:

The Manager, Treasury Cash Forecasting will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and actionable cash forecasts to support a broad range of treasury-related decisions including foreign exchange, cash investments, short-term borrowing, intercompany funding, and jurisdictional cash management strategies. This role will also contribute to high-level financial and capital allocation decisions, including share repurchase programs, special dividends, and liability management. Exceptional communication skills are required as this individual will regularly present insights to senior leadership. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry and advanced financial skills to be able to work closely with business units and key stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain a robust, dynamic forecasting model to project company-wide cash positions by currency and jurisdiction

  • Provide key forecasted input to treasury decisions, including FX execution, short-term investment strategy, liquidity planning, and intercompany cash structuring

  • Contribute to strategic finance initiatives such as share buybacks, special dividends, liability management, and other capital structuring plans

  • Present weekly analysis highlighting key drivers of cash flow changes and providing broader business context

  • Reconcile differences between cash forecasts and accrual-based forecasts, ensuring consistency with broader financial planning processes

  • Analyze variances between forecasted and actual cash flows, identifying root causes and driving continuous improvement in forecast accuracy

  • Support and lead various Treasury initiatives and special projects as assigned by the Senior Manager

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in treasury, accounting, corporate finance, financial planning or related areas

  • Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting and financial modelling capabilities is required

  • Professional designation such as a Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is considered an asset
