Description
In a general way, the professor's teaching load shall include: preparation of course outline; preparation of classes, labs and fieldwork; teaching classes; adaptation; support and supervision of students; preparation, invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of corrections at the students’ request; participation in pedagogical days organized by the College; participation in departmental meetings and required activities.
DUTIES:
The College is seeking part-time and partial replacement professors to teach the following courses within our Modern Languages department for the Fall 2026 semester.
602-100-MQ Langue française I (45 hours / daytime schedule)
(2 hours of theory, 1 hour of lab, and 3 hours of availability x3 / three sections)
Ce cours vise à rendre l’élève capable de communiquer en français avec une certaine aisance à l’oral et à l’écrit. L'élève devra appliquer les notions grammaticales de base de la communication en français courant.
602-UF0-MQ OEuvres narratives et écriture (45 hours / daytime schedule)
(2 hours of theory, 1 hour of lab, and 3 hours of availability)
Ce cours amènera l’élève à interpréter des oeuvres narratives d’expression française dans le but d’élaborer un plan et des paragraphes de dissertation explicative. L’élève devra appliquer les règles de français nécessaires à l’écriture d’un texte.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in French as a Second Language, in French Literature or in a related field, and a combination of industry experience related to the courses being taught.
- Teaching experience would be considered an asset.
- Must possess excellent communication in French.
- Must have good communication skills in English.
