Description
Reporting to the Academic Dean, the Pedagogical Data Analyst will work in close cooperation with Academic Services, Faculty and Administrative staff. The Pedagogical Data Analyst will collaborate on the administration of program management, ongoing program improvement and on the collection, analysis, and interpretation of relevant qualitative and quantitative data.
DUTIES:
- Compile, analyze and assess program and success data, statistics, surveys, and reports in relation to Policy #17 on Program Management.
- Develop, implement and maintain appropriate data tracking and collection tools to assist in the program evaluation process.
- Provide annual program data and reports to the Academic Steering Committee and to each Program/Department Coordinator for annual and comprehensive program evaluations.
- Develop and execute surveys to collect relevant information for annual and comprehensive evaluations in collaboration with the Academic Steering Committee.
- Provide support to programs for their annual evaluations.
- Work with the Associate Academic Deans and Coordinator of Continuing Education to develop, respond to and support data requests as appropriate.
- Maintain the permanent archive of all program management activities, including annual reports, work plans, comprehensive program evaluation reports and revision material.
- Coordinate specific success services and programs including, but not limited to the Brigil Learning Centre (BLC);
- Assist in policy evaluation.
- Assist the College in responding effectively to new planning and evaluation demands.
- Develop feasibility studies and needs analysis related to new program development related to program management.
- Develop and implement procedures and strategies to assist program management.
- Represent Academic Services on some committees as required.
- And all other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree with specialization in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Social Science, or any relevant field.
- Experience working with databases/statistical and information software programs is required.
- Experience with Clara, PSEP, DEFI, SPR, CREPUQ will be considered an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methods of relevance to learning analytics.
- Must have the ability to communicate complex data analysis results in a clear and concise manner.
- Must have knowledge of regional Government and Industry needs.
- Pedagogical or teaching experience, preferably at the post-secondary level.
- Bilingual in both French and English.
- Strong use of Microsoft Office software.
- Programming experience with database queries.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver multiple projects under tight timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding work ethic and ability to exercise discretion.
- Ability to forge good working relationships with faculty and other college personnel.
- Must be dynamic, creative and have the ability to motivate others.
- General understanding of CÉGEP system would be an asset.
