The Director of Investor Relations (IR) is responsible for shaping a world-class investor relations strategy that builds trust, enhances valuation and strengthens access to global capital markets.

Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors, this role will serve as the primary voice to the investment community, ensuring consistent, transparent and compelling communication of the company's financial performance, strategic priorities and long-term value creation story.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global investor relations strategy that effectively communicates financial performance, corporate strategy, and growth initiatives to institutional investors and analysts.
  • Monitor capital markets, industry trends, and the performance of their peers to provide analysis and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Lead quarterly earnings activities, including the preparation of earnings releases, conference calls, scripts, and investor presentation materials. Organize conferences, roadshows, webinars.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential investors, institutions, analysts, and key financial players. Manage shareholder inquiries and ensure timely, accurate, dissemination of information.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations and communications to ensure alignment of corporate messages.
  • Ensure all communications comply with applicable securities laws, stock exchange requirements, and cannabis specific regulations.

Requested skills

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics or related discipline required; The MBA, CPA or CFA designation is an asset.
  • 7-10 years of experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or corporate finance in a global publicly traded environment.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) for exchanges with investors outside Quebec.
  • In-depth understanding of capital markets, financial reporting and disclosure practices.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling messages.
  • Proven experience and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors and analysts.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of team development and influencing executive-level stakeholders.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and business acumen with a global perspective.
  • Cannabis, CPG, agriculture, or pharmaceutical experience is an asset.
