GENARAL SUMMARY

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the main responsibilities are to be in charge for the bank payments and Various reconciliations on daily basis. The Accounting Technician will be responsible for various analyses and actively participate in data collection as required. The position holder will also be required to participate in various accounting projects and in the proper control and documentation of departmental work procedures.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage, perform, and track various monthly payment, analysis and recording schedules;
  • Reconciliation of vendor transactions and reconciliation of purchase orders;
  • Record credit card transactions;
  • Prepare payments on regular basis;
  • Treatment of Employee expense claims in accordance with Company policies;
  • Reconcile bank account daily basis;
  • Support account payables team during period close;
  • Actively participate in month-end and year-end operations;
  • Other related activity as may be required to support the organization.

Requested skills

QUALIFICATIONS
  • DEP in accounting or other related training. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered;
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience;
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is an asset, knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook software to proficiently handle extraction of data and prepare required reporting;
  • Bilingualism (English fluent/French intermediaire);
  • Manage and complete multiple tasks accurately and respect deadlines;
  • Working autonomously and within the team;
  • Attention to details in all aspects of the work.
