IS Process Support Service Student (June - 7 Months)

  • Term Start and Length: June to December (7 months) 
    • Full-Time: June - August
    • Part-time: September - December
  • Job location: Calgary, AB - Head Office
  • Work schedule: 5 x 2 - 8 hours (Monday - Friday) for full-time schedule:

June to August is full-time, and September to December is part-time, with part-time being a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor, report on, and improve IT processes
  • Process design and maintenance according to ITIL using Visio and Word Processing tools
  • Develop and run reports using Microsoft Power BI and Excel
  • Analyze trends in data to understand the root cause, and clean up data to enable trending when necessary
  • Train/Support other staff in these areas
  • Build persuasive communications, ideally using infographics or visualizations

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an Information Systems diploma/degree program
  • Experience with the following technology areas considered an asset:
    • General Microsoft Office applications
    • Remedy or other Call Ticketing software
  • Familiarity with:
    • Application architectures such as standalone and client-server
    • Web and remotely delivered applications
    • Networks and database systems including Oracle and Microsoft SQL
    • Power BI, Excel, Remedy, Visio, Word, Oracle, SQL Developer or TOAD
