Job Summary:
The Analyst, Compensation Delivery is responsible for supporting compensation and job evaluation operations and administration, as well as inquiry support for employees and people leaders across CN.
Major Responsibilities:
Compensation Delivery
· Administer step progressions
· Assist with preparation and distribution of all compensation-related employee communication materials
· Support with annual compensation cycle activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies, programs and collective agreements
Job Evaluation Operations and Compensation plan Administration
· Support with the job evaluation process
· Support the maintenance of the grade structure system and the job evaluation
· Support the development, implementation and maintenance of CN’s job architecture
· Support financial reporting activities and compensation-related activities
Inquiry Management
· Respond to compensation inquiries and redirect to other team members, as necessary
· Provide support and guidance to employees for all complex requests (above Tier 1) and issues related to compensation
· Escalate or redirect highly complex or sensitive requests or questions to the Compensation CoE
Requirements:
Education / Certification / Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
· 2+ years of experience in compensation, or a related area with exposure to compensation programs and salary structures.
o Knowledge of compensation programs, market data analysis, and pay structures*
o Communicate effectively in English and in French (written & oral)*
* Any designation for these above would be considered as an asset
