THE ROLEUnder the direction of Quality Assurance Manager, the Senior Quality Assurance Specialist reviews statement of requirements and uses cases prepared by the business analysis section to ensure that the delivered automated system complies with the statements of requirements. They review functional specifications prepared by the application development section. They liaise with colleagues and other project team members to ensure that software solutions meet functional requirements. The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist participates in development of testing plans and strategies for software systems. They designs, prepares, documents and executes test cases, test scripts and checklists.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Software Development, Computer Programming or a related field AND several years of experience in IT Quality Assurance.
Experience
In software QA and testing methodologies within system/networking/software development environments
In reviewing statements of requirements, use cases and functional specifications
In using Azure DevOps (Boards and Test Plans)
In QA Automation frameworks and processes
In integration testing
In data migration testing
In testing HRIS/HCM (Human Capital Management) systems
In testing Workday and/or Accero, an asset
In API testing
In using AI for scripting and testing support
In testing AI/ML systems
In testing mobile, desktop and cloud apps
In preparation of test plans, test cases and defect reporting
In execution of test cases
In documentation of test results
In troubleshooting software defects
In documenting and analyzing test results
In producing status reports
In applying policies, procedures, and regulations

OTHER INFORMATIONThis is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
The selection process will be done virtually.
This position is a one-year term.
