THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Director, IS Operations, the Senior Advisor, Security Architecture leads activities associated with security systems/solutions/products including concept definition through requirements analysis, design and implementation. They plan, design and implement security systems/solutions/products architectures and lead architecture sizing and scaling activities in relation to infrastructure activities. They ensure that security countermeasure are in place to reduce threats, vulnerabilities, or attacks by eliminating or preventing them, by minimizing the harm they can cause, or by discovering and reporting them so that corrective action can be taken. In addition, they review security requirements and develop the security architecture of applications, services and data and ensure that security services are implemented such as authentication and authorization, monitoring and auditing, incident response and forensics.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field, AND several years of experience in technical architecture, application architecture, solution architecture or a related field

In end-to-end solution design and architecture

In systems architecture and technical architecture and design

In multi-vendor network environment

In multi-technology environments

In routing and switching network design

In Network security structure design

In Wireless network infrastructure design

In VoIP network infrastructure design

In contracts management

In budget administration

In leading multi-discipline teams

In providing advice on strategic issues

In project management

In creating and facilitating presentations

In using formal architecture frameworks and modeling tools

In integrated solution design

In Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS)-bases development environments

In Risk Management and Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A)

In Customer Relation Management (CRM) systems, an asset

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English or French Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.

You may be eligible to receive a Scarce Skills Premium for this position as outlined in the IT Scarce Skills Compensation Agreement.
