THE ROLEAs a Senior Advisor, Compensation, you will be a trusted strategic partner helping shape the future of total rewards at CFMWS. This role goes beyond analysis; you will influence organizational strategy by providing expert guidance on compensation frameworks, market competitiveness, job architecture, and pay equity.
You will lead complex compensation projects, advise senior leaders, collaborate across HR, Finance, and operations, and champion practices that support fairness, transparency, and organizational performance. This is a high-impact role for an experienced compensation professional who can blend strategic insight with analytical rigor, all while fostering strong relationships across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce, HR, Social Sciences or a related field AND several years of experience in compensation management, compensation consulting, total rewards management AND in-depth experience in directly related fields of expertise
Experience
In advising on compensation strategies and total rewards frameworks
In leading cross-functional teams or committees
In a non-union and unionized environment with collective bargaining implications
In providing strategic advice and guidance to senior leaders
In business and strategic planning for compensation initiatives
In managing compensation-related projects
In conducting research and analysis for compensation design with complex modelling
In preparing and delivering presentations and reports

OTHER INFORMATIONThis is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager. However, we are open to considering applicants who wish to work remotely from another location within Canada. Flexibility in work arrangements is available for exceptional candidates across the country.
